The Old Fashioned Harvest Market

September 27-28, 2008

The Old Fashioned Harvest Market, started in 1975, is a family community event that attracts over 10,000 visitors each year. It is held during the final weekend of September each year.  This is a huge event with lots of traffic.  People always plan to get there early to find a place to park.  By the way, parking is available at the Brown's River Middle School with shuttle service provided.

Among the many featured events are:

  • Vermont Crafters
  • Flea Market
  • Country Store (garden produce, jams, jellies, cheese, pizza, candy, corn on the cob, baked beans, maple cotton candy)
  • The Clutter Barn
  • Fresh squeezed lemonade
  • Fresh baked cookies at the Cookie Factory
  • Fresh squeezed cider
  • Fresh french fries
  • Silent Auction
  • Homemade soup and chili in the Soup Tent
  • Games for kids and youth
  • Log sawing contest
  • Locally raised produce
  • The Harvest Market Parade
  • The Harvest Market Run (one for runners & one for walkers)
  • Hay Rides
  • Ongoing entertainment featuring local music groups
