Holy Week in Underhill and Jericho

UCU and area churches will mark this season with opportunities for virtual and at-home reflection:

April 5-11 – Holy Week Morning Devotionals

6:45 am (or anytime!), Ecumenical Ministries YouTube Channel
Each morning from Palm Sunday through Holy Saturday, an area clergy person will offer a video reflection based on a miracle of Jesus. The video will go live at 6:45 am but can be viewed any time. This is an alternative to our typical Good Friday walk.

April 6, 8 & 10 – Holy Week Evening Prayer Services

On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of Holy Week, join for a brief (15-20 min) evening prayer service, facilitated by an area clergy person. This is in lieu of our typical ecumenical in-person morning prayer services.

Thursday, April 9 – Maundy Thursday Service

We’ll gather for a virtual service of washing and communion. Bring a basin, bread, and juice to your computer as we remember the night Jesus served the friends who would betray him.

Sunday, April 12 – Easter Sunrise Service

When you arise, where you are
Because we cannot be together as an ecumenical community, we are inviting everyone to use this at-home liturgy from A Sanctified Art for an Easter Sunrise service wherever and whenever is best for you. We also encourage you to build an Easter gratitude altar, either near your computer where you worship, or some place outside. Make a display that evokes thankfulness and send pictures to We’ll try to include them in Sunday’s service.
