Our Community Cares program needs help transporting food!

In May 2016, Marie Thomas of Our Community Cares Camp was with us in worship and she spoke about the incredible work they are doing. As part of that she spoke about a new program this year to bring food from Camel’s Hump Middle School to provide breakfast and lunch for Jericho Rec. children and youth. Right now, they need help bringing food from Jericho Elementary to Browns River Middle School, both at 8:00AM and again at 11:15AM from 7/11-29 (Mon. – Fri. only). Below is more info and a link to sign up:

Our Community Cares Camp (OCCC) has partnered with Jericho Rec to provide a food option for campers. This is a pilot year to test the viability of offering food to campers. It also allows us to reach more kids from families who may experience food insecurity, especially in the summer. Several Jericho Rec campers attend on scholarships. This partnership allows kids from Jericho and Underhill to have summer activities and nutritious meals. OCCC is looking for volunteer drivers to bring food from Jericho Elementary School to Browns River Middle School – twice a day for three weeks (July 11 – 29). About a half hour or less for each run. Pick up food at JES – drop off at Browns River.

If you have a little spare time over the next few weeks, just click the link below and sign up. Thanks!

Thank you!
