The United Church of Underhill is pursuing a path for affordable homes and open community space in the village of Underhill Flats, Vermont. Here are the project updates as of Nov. 2, 2021, presented in concert with partner Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity, at a community meeting via Zoom.
The Harvest Crossing Team has been working tirelessly on the project to bring affordable homes and community space to the large field behind the church.
A faithful team has been meeting weekly to continue making progress on the Harvest Crossing affordable housing project (formerly known as the JacobÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s property project).
As the vision and direction for our project have become increasingly clear, the project team thought it time to settle on a name that would reflect the future neighborhood of homes and open space we hope to achieve.
The UCU team continues to work diligently toward purchasing the field behind the church and planning for its development and preservation.
At the 2020 annual meeting of the United Church of Underhill, a group was tasked with investigating the possible purchase of land behind the Church currently owned by Phil Jacobs.
