October 12, 2022- Mercy concerns the state of the heart
God didn’t send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through him. – John 3:17
Located in Underhill, Vermont, some people think of us as the Harvest Market Church or the Clutter Barn Church. Join us for worship every Sunday morning at 10:00 am.
The Harvest Crossing Team has been working tirelessly on the project to bring affordable homes and community space to the large field behind the church.
The United Church of Underhill is proud to participate in the Essex-Jericho-Underhill Ecumenical Ministries, which supports our local food shelf. Monetary donations to the EJU Food Shelf are now able to be made using UCU’s secure online giving service.

I am on retreat early this week, but as we prepare for a three-week worship series that accompanies the Sunday evening youth program, I invite us to look more closely at this popular passage of scripture from Micah 6:8:
How wonderful to spend time with many of you last weekend as we celebrated the 48th Annual Harvest Market. Without a doubt, it was a good year. From Saturday morning’s fun run and parade to Sunday’s closing bell as the rain moved in, people came out and came together to make it a spectacular event.…
Well, it figures. The rain we could have used all summer seems to have shown up during a week where we’d appreciate some drier ground. But you just never know how God might use a moment.
I’m on the road this week scoping out sites for a youth trip in October.
Though I would not describe my family of origin as “hoarders,” we were definitely savers.
Letters have long been a means of sharing important and heart-felt news.
The season of “back to” is upon us.
As I get my feet back under me after a week away, I thought I’d share with you a wonderful website of prayerful poems (or poetic prayers), updated daily by Rev. Steve Garnaas-Holmes.
As I prepare for a week away next week, a few housekeeping notes.
