I want to thank all those who contributed to last week’s video about prayer. What a blessing to hear and see in our own words what prayer can look like in the day-to-day. I am also deeply grateful for the many extensions of prayer and support that have been offered in my direction as I go before the Board of Ordained Ministry tomorrow. These prayers are already making a palpable difference in my week. From the bottom of my heart and the depths of my soul, thank you.
We conclude our God Meets World worship series this week with a look at the church(es) across time and space, culminating in a celebration of new membership. We’ll all have a chance to renew our commitment to walking with one another through the life of the church, which we recognize looks a lot different than it did even a short time ago. As we stumble down new paths, may we trust that God will meet us still in this diverse body where truly everyone has a role to play.
