July 13, 2022- new small group opportunities

I am excited to announce several new small group opportunities coming this summer and fall:

First, starting this Sunday evening from 5-7 pm, is a bi-monthly parenting small group. The group will read the book, The Conscious Parent, and discuss over a series of potlucks in the coming months. See full schedule below and online. Childcare will be provided, but kindly let Ashley know your childcare needs ahead of time.

Secondly, I’m offering a new member/refresher class on Wednesdays in August and September for those interested in deepening their knowledge (and hopefully wisdom!) in the life of faith. If you’d like to join, kindly complete this survey so that the format can match the needs of the group.

And finally, Middle and High School youth – mark your calendars! This October, UCU is joining with Richmond Congregational UCC and Williston Federated Church to offer an exciting five-week immersive program: Do Justice. Love Mercy. Hustle Humbly. We’ll meet on Sunday evenings from 4-5:30 to explore who God might be calling us to be both in and beyond the church. On Oct. 21-23, we’ll journey to Boston to see what ministry and vocation look like in an urban setting, while also having some free time to explore our own interests. Commitments for the trip are needed by Sept. 1. Learn more and download the commitment form from our website.

I am looking forward to all of these opportunities to connect, question, and explore the faith we claim in different ways. But most immediately, I’m looking forward to Sunday morning worship at 10, where we’ll have the joy to celebrate a baptism, recalling God’s ever-present grace that guides us on our ever-meandering journeys.
