June 29, 2022- Zoom Chapel and Outdoor Worship

I am looking forward to beginning our summer series of Zoom Chapel + Outdoor Worship this coming weekend. Here’s what you can expect for each.

Zoom Chapel – 8:30 am. This 30-minute service will include opening and closing (pre-recorded) hymns, several short prayers, a central scripture reading with a brief time to reflect together on the text, and the sharing of joys and concerns. We’ll take full advantage of being able to hear and see one another to have a more participatory experience. Since there will not be a designated worship assistant, please come ready to read a prayer from the screen, or the scripture from your Bible (or a web browser). A bulletin outline is available here.

Outdoor worship – 10 am. This coming Sunday is our ecumenical worship service, where four churches will gather for a joint service of word and table (communion) on the lawn behind the parsonage (look for the large tent in the field). We’ll have some folding chairs and blankets available, but you may prefer to bring your own lawn chair. Please also bring a snack to share with our siblings in Christ after worship. Extra hands for setup and takedown are also welcome.

I hope you’ll join for one (or both!) of these services, and do consider inviting a friend to join you. We hope and pray that both of these worship experiences will lend themselves to joyful and meaningful connection throughout this growing season.

Hope to see you Sunday if not before,

Pastor Jen
