Join Us This Sunday!

This Sunday (10/6) we begin a four-week worship series entitled, “Here We Are,” inspired by Oliver Jeffers’ children’s book of the same name. This series brings together scripture, theology, art, music, science, and poetry to consider our place as humans in a wondrous but wounded creation.

Each week, we’ll immerse ourselves in the sights and sounds of our planet, confess our vast shortcomings in the care of creation, hear from the US Fifth National Climate Assessment published last year, and pray for wisdom toward right action.

We begin this week training our eyes, ears, and hearts to experience creation as the original scripture. With gratitude for the fruits of creation and the faith that guides us, we’ll also gather at the table with siblings around the globe for World Communion Sunday.

Join at 10 in the sanctuary or online.

This series was created by Rev. Kelly Turney and lay servant Peggy Drew of Main Street United Methodist Church in Nashua, NH, and shared through the New England Conference (UMC) Climate Care Coordinator. We give thanks for the denominational connections and support that allow us to join together in resource sharing for greater impact. A portion of our giving each month goes to the United Methodist Church and United Church of Christ to support ministries like these. You can give securely online via Vanco.

All are welcome to our sanctuary for in-person worship. Masks are optional within the church building. The live stream remains available for remote participation.

Recordings of the services (which may be edited for clarity) will appear on our YouTube channel after worship.
